  • Software Test Estimation Tools using Use Cases and Functions

    This paper demonstrates the software test estimation tool, which is clearly defined to understand, that provides the time and cost of any software test project. There are different estimation tools for software development process [8] and those are well recognized. But there are lacks of standard tools for estimation of Software Test phase. Therefore, the researchers applied that tool on two projects, project 1 - Management Accounts Consolidation System for Line Director and project 2 - Persona, in order to determine the time and cost of those projects. Since few software test estimation tools are available in the market, however, this paper would be fruitful for the software industry to explore the time and cost of any real software test project.

  • A Novel Tool for Reducing Time and Cost at Software Test Estimation: An Use Cases and Functions Based Approach

    This paper represents a software test estimation tool, which is clearly defined to understand, that provides the estimated time as well as the cost of any software test project. There are different estimation tools for software development process [8] and those are well recognized. But there are lacks of standard tools for estimation of Software Test phase. Therefore, the researchers designed and applied this novel tool on 5 case projects, namely Climate Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihood (CREL), Management Accounts Consolidation System for Line Director (LDMACS), PBI Works Management System Software, PBI Mobile Apps and Human Resources Management System (HRMS), in order to determine the time and cost of those projects. Since few software test estimation tools are available in the market, however, this paper would be fruitful for the software industry to explore the time and cost of any real software test project.

  • Software Test Estimation Tool: Comparable with COCOMOII Model

    This study illustrates an estimation tool for software test that provides the estimated time and the cost of any sort of software test project. There are different well-recognized estimation tools for software development process [9], however, there remains a lack of standard tools for estimation of Software Test phase. Therefore, the authors developed a web base tool (www.4beats.net/tpet/) in order to determine the time and cost of projects. This paper highlights the comparable result with COCOMOII (Constructive Cost Model) model. More than 22 projects are already estimated by this open tool and from them 5 case projects, namely, Climate Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihood (CREL), Management Accounts Consolidation System for Line Director (LDMACS), PBI (Police Bureau of Investigations) Works Management System Software, PBI Mobile Apps and Human Resources Management System (HRMS) have selected. This paper would play a vital role to estimate time and cost for software test project and be beneficial for the software industry.

  • Implementing e-Governance in Bangladesh and The De Facto

    To-days governments and public sector all over the world are facing problem to reform the public administration and deliver more efficient and effective services, as well as better information and knowledge to the stakeholders. This e-Governance enables the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve the system of governance that is in place and thus provide better services to the Citizens. E-Governance is considered as a high priority agenda in Bangladesh, as it is considered the only means of taking ICT to the “DIGITAL BANGALDESH”. This paper focused on the implementation and the de facto of e-Governance in Bangladesh.
